Stress Counselling

You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.
— Jon Kabat-Zinn

Stress can sometimes feel constant and overwhelming, especially when life’s demands begin to exceed your capacity to cope. You may find yourself feeling emotionally exhausted, irritable, overwhelmed, or struggling to keep up with work, relationships, responsibilities, or daily life. Over time, chronic stress can begin to affect both your mental and physical wellbeing.

Many people cope with stress through avoidance, procrastination, emotional shutdown, overworking, substance use, or other patterns that may provide temporary relief but often increase stress in the long run.

In therapy, we will explore how stress is affecting you, identify your current coping patterns, and work toward developing healthier and more sustainable ways of managing overwhelm. Sessions may focus on building emotional regulation skills, increasing resilience, improving communication and boundaries, and learning practical coping strategies such as mindfulness, grounding, breathwork, and stress management techniques.

The goal is not to eliminate stress entirely, but to help you feel more balanced, capable, and supported in navigating life’s challenges.
