Depression

Depression is more than just feeling sad once in a while. It is a heavy burden that we carry throughout every facet of our lives; it affects our relationships, self-esteem, work, school, physical and mental health and more. What’s worse is that once we begin to fall into a depression, our low energy, low mood and lack of motivation makes it that much harder to lift ourselves out of it. 

Though difficult, it's not impossible. In our sessions, we will work toward understanding your depression; what it looks like, what if feels like, how it affects you, when it started and what keeps it going. With more understanding comes more preparedness. I know firsthand how it feels to be depressed and I don’t wish it upon anybody. What I can do is offer my support and some evidence-based strategies to help lift you out of the depression. Once out, we can discuss warning signs and proactive measures to put into place when you find yourself slipping back into it. You are not alone in this battle.
