Emotion Regulation Counselling
Difficulty regulating emotions can make everyday stress feel overwhelming and difficult to manage. You may find yourself reacting strongly to situations, struggling to calm down once upset, or feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety, anger, shame, guilt, or emotional exhaustion.
For many people, these patterns develop when emotions were not consistently supported, validated, or safely managed earlier in life. Over time, the nervous system can become stuck in a heightened state of stress, making emotions feel more intense and harder to control.
In therapy, we focus on building practical skills to help you better understand your emotions, manage distress, and respond more effectively to triggers. Together, we work toward developing healthier coping strategies, improving emotional balance, and creating more stability in daily life.
